Privacy Policy

The short version. SlamCaster does not collect anything. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you do in the app is sent to JaviCDev. Your settings, credentials and recordings stay on your device, and your broadcast goes only to the servers you enter yourself.

This policy explains what SlamCaster ("the app") does with your information. SlamCaster is developed and published by JaviCDev. It applies to the Android version of the app.

🔒 Information we collect

None. The app contains no analytics library, no crash-reporting service, no advertising SDK and no tracking of any kind. It has no user accounts and no sign-in. JaviCDev operates no server that the app communicates with, and receives no information about you or your use of the app.

📱 What the app stores on your device

SlamCaster saves the following in its own private storage area on your device, where other apps cannot read it:

Server profiles you create, including host, port, mount point, username and the password or stream key you enter.
Your settings — audio format, mixer levels, push-to-talk and ducking preferences, and the rest.
Your playlists, and the sound board pads with their names and colours. These reference audio files already on your device; the app does not copy them.
Recordings you choose to make, saved as audio files.

All of this stays on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it, and you can clear it at any time from Android's app storage settings.

If you have Android's backup feature switched on, your device may include app data in your own Google account backup. That backup is between you and Google, and JaviCDev has no access to it.

📡 What leaves your device

When you broadcast, the app connects directly to the server whose address you entered, and sends:

your audio, and video if you enable it;
the username and password or stream key for that server, so it will accept the connection;
the stream title — either the name of the track playing or the fixed title you set, if you have that turned on.

That connection is between you and the server operator. It does not pass through JaviCDev. Those servers are run by other people or companies — your streaming host, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook or whoever else you configure — and what they do with what you send them is governed by their own policies, not this one.

Many Icecast and Shoutcast servers are published without encryption, so the app allows plain HTTP connections. Where a server supports it, ticking "TLS connection" in the server settings sends your credentials and audio over an encrypted connection instead. We recommend using it wherever your host offers it.

🔑 Permissions and why the app asks for them

Microphone	To capture the audio you broadcast and record. This is the app's core function.
Camera	Only if you choose to broadcast video over RTMP. The app never uses the camera unless you select it as a video source.
Music and audio files	To list audio on your device so you can add it to a playlist or a sound board pad.
Nearby devices	To detect and use Bluetooth headsets and speakers for monitoring.
Notifications	To show the ongoing notification that Android requires while a broadcast is running.
Foreground service	So the broadcast continues when the screen is off or you switch to another app. Stopping the broadcast ends it.

Audio and video captured through these permissions are used only to produce the broadcast and recordings you asked for. They are never sent anywhere except the servers you configure.

💳 Purchases

The one-time purchase that removes the broadcast limit is handled entirely by Google Play. The app asks Play whether this Google account owns it and is told yes or no. JaviCDev never sees your payment details, and the app stores no record of them.

👶 Children

SlamCaster is a tool for broadcasters and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no information from anyone, including children.

⚙️ Your choices

You can withdraw any permission at any time in Android's app settings; features that depend on it will stop working, but the rest of the app continues. You can delete everything the app has stored by clearing its storage or uninstalling it. Because JaviCDev holds no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request you need to make.

📝 Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
